- 2017:
This past year Ed has played dates
with American Monster "Blues and Burlesque Show" at Harvelle's in
Long Beach, Ca and gigs with rising star Sophia Radisch at The Mint
in Los Angeles. Upcoming show scheduled in Jan 2018 at The Study in
Hollywood.

2016:
Ed headed west for
drumming gigs in Austin,TX with Ramsay Midwood and Randy Weeks,
along with Earl Poole Ball (from Johnny Cash`s Band). In addition,
he sang and played shows there with his duo, Rough and Lovely. Then
on to Phoenix, AZ. to perform with Aaron White and later L.A. to
drum for Bill Berry`s CD release show. Ed wrapped up the summer back
east in NY, performing at the 2016 Livestock Music Festival with
Esquela. Currently, he's residing in Southern California.
- 2015:
In August Ed performed with Country music legend Charley Pride in
Binghamton, NY and with Pinecone Fletc
her at the Chenango Blues Festival. He played the Alexander Bay Blues
Festival in September with String Of Pearls.
Ed performed with Pinecone Fletcher throughout the Los Angeles area in
January and February, and recorded tracks at Ultimate Recording Studios
in Van Nuys. He also played with musician Petey Hop at Delta Blue in
Lake Placid, New York at the beginning of the year.
- 2014:
Ed played dates in August with
(Memphis Blues Artist) Brandon Santini, including the Chenango Blues
Festival in Norwich, NY, White Mountain Boogie and Blues Festival in
Thorton, NH.
He recorded an album project for the band, String of Pearls at Newclear
Studios and performed summer dates; including The Alexandria Bay Blues
Festival, the 2014 Strawberry Festival in Owego, NY and played the 2014
Livestock Festival in Bovina, NY with the band D.O.A (Disciples of
Agriculture).
Ed produced various recording projects at Panda Studios in Binghamton,
NY. In addition to producing, he also sang vocals and played Drums,
Percussion and Harmonica.
- 2013:
Ed recorded and performed with Jill
Michaels as the duo Rough and Lovely. Ed and Jill wrote all the songs. A
Video of their song Afterthought won a Radio Station sponsored contest
and resulted in a slot opening for the band, Sick Puppies.
Ed recorded an album project for blues rocker Pine Cone Fletcher at
Panda Studios in Binghamton, NY and performed several dates including
the 2013 Chenango Blues Festival.
He played the 2013 Livestock Festival in Bovina, NY with the band D.O.A
(Disciples of Agriculture) which include Dan Finn on vocals and guitar,
Eric Ambel – guitar and Keith Christopher on bass
In addition, he performed dates with Blues rocker Zonder Kennedy and a
festival date with Bluesman Barbeque Bob (Robert Pomeroy)
Ed recorded an album project with the band Hop City Hellcats at Panda
Studios. Ed wrote and sang four songs on the project, in addition to
playing Drums and Harmonica. The band performed several dates through
the summer including Taste of Country Festival in Hunter, NY and a gig
with The Mavericks at the Oneonta Theater in Oneonta, NY.
- April 2011
Ed recorded a full length album with Pat Roberts and The
Heymakers at Electric Lotus Music in Phoenix AZ. The band will be
performing on a bill with Wanda Jackson at the Rhythm Room in
Phoenix on April 30th.
- March 2011
Ed recorded thirteen tracks for a new CD project with Pat
Roberts and The Heymakers at Electric Lotus Recording Studio in
Phoenix, AZ.

ROCK BLUES ALBUM Jason Ricci & New Blood – Done with the Devil
Ed Michaels played drums, wrote and sang his song, “Keep The Wolf
From My Door” featured on the Album – Done With The Devil.
The Blues Foundation will present the Blues Music Awards at the Cook
Convention Center in Memphis, Tennessee on May 6, 2010. Performers,
industry representatives and fans from around the globe
traditionally attend to celebrate the best in Blues recording and
performance.
The Blues Music Awards are universally recognized as the highest

Ed Michaels's song "Keep The Wolf From My Door" was a Pick To Click
Hit on B.B. King's Bluesville Radio, XM-74, and is getting airplay
on blues radio all over the map - In April Ed completed tracks for Steve
Willis's CD project at Whip Records' Studio in Berkeley, California

- October 2007
In August and September Ed toured the N.W. with guitarist/singer, Eddie
Turner. The last week of September was spent at Big Red Studios in
Portland, Oregon, recording tracks for singer/songwriter, Anne Weiss
with Kenny Passarelli (Joe Walsh, Elton John) producing. Ed has also
been playing dates with Marn County band, Lansdale Station and dates
with guitarist/singer, David Jacobs-Strain, with Kenny Passarelli on
Bass and Matt Sircely on mandolin, which included playing the Fall
Festival in Corvallis, Oregon and the Crystal Bay Casino at Lake Tahoe.
Ed will be taking two trips to Europe to play with Alvin Youngblood Hart
in October and November, and returning to Europe with Eddie Turner in
later November and December, and finally playing the Boulder Station
Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 27th again with Eddie Turner.
- September 2007
Ed is doing back to back tours of Europe and the U.K. in October,
November and December, first with Alvin Youngblood Hart and then with
Eddie Turner.
- July 2007
This summer Ed has been freelancing around the Bay Area and Northern
California, and recording, including a new song which Ed
wrote, sang, played drums and harmonica, with Dan Duffin on bass and
guitar and Jerry Sims on backing vocals. Ed has also worked with Jinx
Jones and Joe Kyle.

the Rhythm Room in Phoenix, AZ., opening the show for The Blasters.

The Blue Stone Project played The Autumn Days Festival in Ignacio,
Colorado on November 17th and 18th; they also performed live in the
studio on Radio Station KSUT on the 17th

BLUES ON THE EAST SIDE LIVE DVD A dynamic Live performance from the Blues On The Eastside Concert in
Cambridge, Ontario, featuring various artists and including Alvin
Youngblood Hart's Muscle theory with Ed Michaels on drums and Gary
Rasmussen on bass has been released on Electro-Fi DVDs. The DVD
documents what turned out to be the final performance of the band with
the rhythm section.
- October 20, 2006
The Blue Stone Project CD, Blue Stone has been included on the initial
Grammy Ballot for 2006 in the Rock category. Its the the first time a
record submitted by Canyon Records for Grammy consideration has made the
ballot outside of the Native American music category. This is the second
year in a row that the rhythm section of Ed Michaels and Gary Rasmussen
have made it on the ballot, as they were on the ballot in 2005 for Alvin
Youngblood Hart's CD "Motivational Speaker" on the Tonecool/Artemis
label in the Contemporary Blues category.

House of Blues Radio Hour (nationally syndicated) - Elwood Blues
spent the hour rapping with Luther Dickinson of the North Mississippi Allstars. They recommended
Motivational Speaker, the latest CD by
Alvin Youngblood Hart, and then played the song "Big Mama's Door" from
the CD with Ed Michaels on drums, tambourine, and background vocals and
Gary Rasmussen on bass and background vocals.
- In mid-September Ed recorded basic
tracks for the upcoming Tex Burbank & Yo record at Charlie McGovern's
"Big Ol' Studio" in North Hollywood.
- Ed Michaels and Aaron White played in
concert with The Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra on September 4th at the
Pine Mountain Amphitheater. Maestro Randall Craig Fleischer conducted
the Symphony and wrote the orchestrations for the Blue Stone Project.
